Vernon is the largest city in the North Okanagan with a population of 42,199 in 2017. Nestled between Kalamalka Lake, Swan Lake and the northern reach of Okanagan Lake, Vernon is known for its many beaches.

Vernon comprises several distinct communities including City Centre, Predator Ridge, Bella Vista West, East Bella Vista Highlands, North Vernon, Waterfront, Okanagan Hills, Okanagan Landing, Blue Jay Subdivision and Foothills.
